Today, on my order, Dr. Mehmet Oz announced that Medicaid will no longer cover gender-affirming surgeries and hormone therapy for individuals under the age of legal majority.

We are not going to pay for these surgeries and procedures for our innocent children—actions that Trump says can cause severe and irreversible harm.

Trump also said that the pressure from his administration over the past one and a half years has led dozens of hospitals in the United States to stop providing this kind of service, and he expects more hospitals to do the same.

He then, while attacking the Democratic Party, claimed that this party supports access for underage individuals to such procedures, and said his administration will protect American children.

At the end, Trump asked the public to consider this issue when voting in the November midterm elections.
