🔶 Trump Announces Signing the “Biggest Oil Deal in History” With Venezuela
Donald Trump, the U.S. president, announced on Friday, August 28 (September 6), that a major oil deal has been signed with the Venezuelan government, and said the agreement will more than double U.S. oil reserves.
Trump wrote on the social network “Truth Social” that, under this deal, the United States will gain control over 65 billion barrels of Venezuela’s oil reserves. He described the agreement as the “biggest oil deal in the history of the world” and said its implementation could reduce fuel prices in the United States for years to come.
According to Trump, Marco Rubio, the foreign minister, and Pete Hegseth, the U.S. defense minister (war), have finalized the deal in direct cooperation with Delcy Rodríguez, the president of Venezuela’s transitional period. Private companies will participate in implementing it, and no cost will be imposed on U.S. taxpayers.
