🔶 Turkey issues an arrest warrant for Netanyahu; Netanyahu: Erdoğan is a Jew-hater and a repressor

Turkey has issued an international arrest warrant against Benjamin Netanyahu, head of the Israeli government.

The background to this action is the investigation into the “Gaza aid flotilla” and how Israeli security forces and officials dealt with the activists present there.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Turkey, has repeatedly accused Netanyahu of “genocide” and compared him to Hitler.

In response to Turkey’s move, the office of the Israeli prime minister said: “Israel has long not been affected by Turkey’s hypocrisy. Erdoğan is a Jew-hating tyrant who massacred the Kurds, supports the killing by the terrorist organization Hamas, and suppresses his own people.”

In a separate statement published only in English, it said: “Erdoğan’s contemptible attempt to intimidate the leaders and soldiers of Israel will go nowhere—only the real democracy in the Middle East.”
