U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on the X social network that it has officially removed the name of Syria from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

He wrote: “This action creates the groundwork for new capacities in line with the economic recovery and progress of Syria.”

Rubio emphasized: “The Trump administration continues to pursue the goals of U.S. national security so that peace, prosperity, and security in the Middle East can be realized.”
