〰Update/ The UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization said that an oil tanker was targeted by an unknown projectile while heading toward the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz.

The body said in a statement on Sunday that the incident occurred the day before (Saturday) at a distance of 12 nautical miles north of the city of Khasab in Oman. The name of the tanker has not been released.

According to the UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization, the incident happened on Saturday, August 29, and no report has been published of any human or environmental damage.

Iranian news agency Mehr reported on Sunday that Iranian armed forces prevented the passage of about 30 ships through the Strait of Hormuz during the past week.

Based on the report, 30 ships between August 22 and August 29 attempted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, but Iranian forces blocked their route.
