🔻US CENTCOM commander ends Middle East trip after visiting six countries and a carrier

The commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) left the region after a 10-day trip to the Middle East.

Admiral Brad Cooper visited six countries and a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier currently conducting operations in the Arabian Sea.

During his trip, he met with senior civilian and military officials in Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, and also met with American forces deployed in the region.

More than 50,000 U.S. military personnel across the Middle East are carrying out various missions.

During his trip, the CENTCOM commander met for the second time this year with sailors and Marines deployed on the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln. He had previously visited the aircraft carrier in February together with Steve Witkoff, the U.S. special envoy for peace missions, and Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law.

In his recent trip, he addressed all crew members of the Lincoln and said: “The Lincoln strike group is a powerful team of hardworking and successful Americans who take pride in their achievements with a great deal of confidence and self-assurance. History will record this deployment as one of the busiest and most consequential operational periods of the modern era.”

The Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, whose home base is in San Diego, was deployed in November and arrived in the Middle East in January this year. So far, this strike group has carried out thousands of combat flights in support of the war against Iran operation “Raging Wrath” and regional security missions, as well as the ongoing U.S. naval blockade of Iran.
