🔸Veresk Bridge is one of Iran’s largest mainline railway bridges, located in the highlands of the village of Veresk in Savadkuh County, Mazandaran Province.
🔸The bridge, which is situated 110 meters above the bottom of the ravine, came into service in 1315, and was registered as a national heritage site in Mehr 1356.
🔸Veresk is among Iran’s strategic bridges, built by the Danish company Compsax with a 70-year guarantee.
🔸During World War II, it was dubbed the Victory Bridge by Winston Churchill, the then Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
🔸The name Veresk Bridge is recorded in the Guinness World Records, in the section for bridges with a height of more than 61 meters.
