🗣Your account: Answering Iran International’s question about citizens’ experiences of unemployment — Tuesday, 10 Shahrivar

🔹Employment conditions have become very poor and new jobs cannot be found; even for working on Snapp, there is neither fuel nor passengers.

🔹I am a dentist and, unfortunately, I have been unemployed for three weeks.

🔹My income has dropped to one quarter, and my expenses have doubled.

🔹I’ve become unemployed and I don’t know how to pay my rent; for two weeks now, we have not had rice at home.

🔹We have heavy machinery and rice farming; given inflation and the high prices of machinery parts and the high costs of agriculture, it has all turned into losses, and this is an example of unemployment.

🔹In the past three years, because of worsening economic conditions, I was forced to lay off 20 workers.

🔹Even if work is found, with this inflation and rising prices, and with these salaries, one can barely eat a single meal.

🔹My nephew and some of his friends, who are a few young people with university educations, had a production workshop, but because of increased prices and the lack of orders, they shut the workshop down and everyone became unemployed.

🔹I work 10 hours a day for 10 million toman per month, without insurance and benefits.
