🔻All 35,000 tickets for the match between the two teams Esteghlal and Persepolis, which will be held on Wednesday, 11 Shahrivar, at Naqsh-e Jahan Stadium in Isfahan, were sold in less than 2 hours.
🔹Tehran derby 107 will be held at Naqsh-e Jahan Stadium, where despite a capacity of about 75,000 spectators, only 35,000 tickets have been offered for sale to fans. According to reports from Iranian domestic media, of this number, 29,000 tickets are allocated for men in the lower tier and 6,000 tickets are reserved for women in the second tier of the stadium. Also, the share of tickets for the supporters of the two teams, Esteghlal and Persepolis, will be 50-50.
🔹This raises the question: despite widespread fan interest, why is only less than half of the stadium’s capacity being used? After the national uprising of Iranians in Dey 1404, the Islamic Republic, due to fear of the spread of protests, has held football matches without spectators or with special restrictions.
