🔻Prominent Syrian singer Aseela Nasyri performed a concert in the Al-Fayha Theater Hall in Damascus on Thursday after 15 years away from Syria, and faced a warm reception from the audience.
The event was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the government of Mohammad al-Jolani and the country’s Artists’ Syndicate, and in it Mohammad Yaseen Saleh, Syria’s Minister of Culture, presented Aseela with a certificate of appreciation.
Aseela supported the country’s movement in 2011, at the same time as the start of the Syrian protests, and condemned the actions of the government of Bashar al-Assad. Because of this support, she was removed from the Artists’ Syndicate. She lived in the United Arab Emirates and Egypt throughout these years.
