🔸At least 9 killed in a shooting at a school in Thailand
Thai police said on Friday, August 7 (16 Mordad), that in a shooting at a school in this country, nine people including the shooter were killed, and 15 others were also injured. According to the Thai Minister of Education, some of the victims were students and some were teachers at this school.
Police officials said the shooter was a 14-year-old student who, before the deadly attack, killed his grandfather and grandmother at their home with gunfire. The incident took place at the Debsirin Nonthaburi school in Nonthaburi province.
Different information has been published regarding the number of victims. The Thai newspaper “Khaosod” reported, citing government officials, that five teachers had been killed. While the police said 15 people were injured, the Thai health minister said the number of injured was 22, and that the condition of nine of them was reported as critical.
Thai police investigations are underway to determine the details of this deadly incident, and according to media reports, the father of the shooter is currently being questioned by police officers.
