🔻 Delcy Rodriguez described her meeting with Trump as “historic”

Delcy Rodriguez, the acting president of Venezuela, met with Donald Trump for the first time since taking power.

The two spoke with each other on the sidelines of the United Nations meeting in New York. It is the same city where Nicolás Maduro is being held.

Ms. Rodriguez described her meeting with Mr. Trump as a “historic step” and said they discussed cooperation in the areas of energy, mining, and security.
