🔶 Israel’s army says another senior Hezbollah commander was killed in day attacks on Saturday

Israel’s army says a senior Hezbollah commander was killed in an airstrike on the city of Dair El Zahrani in southern Lebanon.

The announcement comes as Lebanese media reported severe explosions for the second consecutive day in the Ali Taahir Heights region. In its statement, however, Israel’s army made no reference to reports about overnight attacks in southern Lebanon.

According to Israel’s army, the strike on Saturday morning against Ali Muhammad Fakhr al-Din was carried out in response to a Hezbollah explosive drone attack in the hours before dawn on Saturday. In this attack, three Israeli soldiers were wounded. Lebanese media reported that the Saturday morning attack on Dair El Zahrani left two dead.

Fakhr al-Din, who is also known by the name Abu Hassan Alaa, is described by Israel’s army as a “senior commander” in Hezbollah’s Badr regional unit. This regional unit is responsible for the area north of the Litani River.
