🔶 Kushner: Talks with Iran are serious and intensive, but we have not yet reached an agreement

Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of the U.S. president and his special envoy in the Middle East, said in a conversation with the Fox News news channel on Monday, August 17 (Mordad 26) that there has been progress in negotiations between the Islamic Republic and the United States to end the war.

He spoke of “very positive” discussions by both sides, but at the same time noted that “after all these years, there is little trust between Iran and the United States.”

According to Kushner, U.S. President Donald Trump will be “very patient” regarding these negotiations and “will avoid hasty decision-making.” He added that Trump “will sign the right agreement as soon as we find the right agreement.”

The Trump special envoy in the Middle East, who made these remarks after his several-hour meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, said: «Iran-U.S. negotiations are serious and intensive, but the two sides have not yet reached an understanding.»
