🔻London police say the body of Jason Ardy, a Cambridge university professor who has resigned, was found in his home in south of the capital.

London Ambulance Service on Friday, 14 August / 23 Mordad, after going to his home, found Mr. Ardy unconscious and then informed the police.

Police say his death was “unexpected,” but is not currently being treated as “suspicious.”

Ardy’s family said in a statement that they are “devastated” by the death of this “father, husband and very special son.”

“The cost of misinformation campaign about Jason, who was a sensitive person and always wanted the best for others, was very high.”

Professor Deborah Prentice, the deputy vice-chancellor of the University of Cambridge, said she was “deeply shocked” by news of Mr. Ardy’s death.

Jason Ardy, 41, was a former professor of educational sociology at the University of Cambridge who resigned from his post last week following the raising of allegations of fraud and scientific plagiarism. He also faced questions about some of his scientific achievements.
