🔻Macron, in his speech, emphasized the importance of defending Ukraine

Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, emphasized the necessity of bringing an end to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Macron said that France would “spare no effort” to facilitate, as quickly as possible, useful negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

He stressed that, as winter approaches, Ukraine should be defended “more than at any time before.”

The French president also called for a “mutual” halt to attacks on energy infrastructure and on civilians by both sides.

He urged Ukraine and Russia, in line with the possibility of enabling the release of grain shipments, to stop their attacks on the Black Sea region.

Macron described the situation in Gaza as a “shameful scene for all,” and said: “The most fundamental rights of Palestinians are being violated.”
