Masoud Pezeshkian, head of the Islamic Republic government, at a ceremony on the occasion of “Doctors’ Day,” said, regarding the start of the war: “They thought that if they attacked and our elders were killed, the country would fall apart.”
He said that Ali Khamenei, too, in the speeches he made, openly stated that we must get out of this situation—not war, not peace.
Pezeshkian added: “Whatever policy the Leader sets, we will go along that path; in war or in a situation of neither war nor peace, there will be no investment and no investment will take shape.”
He continued: “We are not supposed to give in to the enemy in a humiliating way and bow our heads. With strength, but with logic, we can sit down and resolve our problems, and this is possible. We also will try to make this happen.”
Pezeshkian also said that everyone who had a hand in the fire in the Supreme National Security Council believed that this agreement is the best agreement.
