The ousted Ukrainian defense minister said his country appears to be slowly losing the war with Russia and has only a few months to make key decisions to change course.
Mykhailo Fedorov, in an interview with Reuters, said: “I think there is now a turning point that determines our future path, but it seems that we are gradually and slowly losing.”
Fedorov cited the lack of a clear vision for victory, inability to innovate, deep-rooted corruption, and patronage networks as factors in this situation, and said the Ukrainian government is working with “five percent efficiency.”
The Office of the President of Ukraine responded that during the period when Fedorov was minister, he was optimistic about the course of the war and that the only thing that has changed is his personal position.
