UK prime minister, on the verge of announcing a complete ban on trade in goods from Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

As reported by The Telegraph, Andy Burnham is considering a full commercial boycott of all settlements in response to Israel’s plan to build in the controversial E1 area and may announce his proposal “within a few weeks.”

The Times reported that the leader of the Labour Party, who is trying to take a tougher stance than Keir Starmer, the former prime minister, may also boycott specific right-wing ministers and certain settlers.

According to Bloomberg, the UK foreign secretary is weighing several options for the coming weeks to increase pressure on Israel. Based on statements from people familiar with the matter, these options include a new sanctions regime that bans the exchange of goods and services with Israeli settlements.
