Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, has traveled to New York to take part in the United Nations General Assembly.

Before flying to New York, Mr. Pezeshkian promised that at this meeting he would “firmly defend Iran’s positions.”

Before leaving Iran, in remarks broadcast on state television, he said: “We emerged victorious and this brings honor and pride to all of us. Therefore, in international forums we will firmly defend our positions.”
