🔸Senior adviser to IRGC commander: Iran can continue the war until the end of Trump’s term

Mohammadreza Naqdi, an adviser to the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said Iran has the ability to continue a war with the United States for at least another two and a half years, until the end of Donald Trump’s presidential term.

Naqdi, speaking to the American network PBS (Public Broadcasting Service), said Tehran believes it has achieved victory in its war with the United States.

He attributed the basis for this assessment to Washington’s failure to achieve its primary objectives. According to Naqdi, America was seeking the overthrow of the leadership of the Islamic Republic and the collapse of Iran, but did not reach those goals.

At the same time, the adviser to the IRGC’s top commander said Iran has not yet reached its ultimate goal.

He explained that Iran’s armed forces had never before entered a real war with the United States, but over the past five months they have gained significant experience in dealing with the U.S. Army.

Naqdi said that in the course of the war, Iran’s military forces have concluded that the U.S. Army is weaker than had previously been assumed.
