Simultaneous with Masoud Pezeshkian’s speech at the UN General Assembly, a ship in the Strait of Hormuz was targeted by an attack; an attack for which no group has, to date, taken responsibility.

At the same time, Mohsen Rezayi, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic, said that the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened until Tehran’s conditions are implemented. He added that the United States must first carry out the conditions of the Islamic Republic so that, as he put it, lost trust can be restored to Tehran.
