🔶 Steps to save a person who has overdosed on drugs

Drug overdoses have turned into an international crisis. Over the past 20 years, the number of deaths caused by overdoses has increased significantly in many parts of the world. The main factor behind this increase, in most cases, has been the effect of opioid drugs—substances that are often used together with other medications and substances such as benzodiazepines, stimulants, and alcohol.

🔺Stay calm and composed

🔺First, make sure the area around the person is safe and that you are not at risk of coming into contact with dangerous drugs.

🔺Gently shake the person, call out, and check their level of consciousness. Look for signs such as slow or irregular breathing, cold and clammy skin, bluish lips or nails, or unconsciousness.

🔺Call emergency services immediately (115 in Iran). Report accurate information such as the location, the person’s condition, and the likely type of substance consumed.
