The Wall Street Journal, citing a U.S. official, reported that the Trump administration will only agree to arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz under which the Islamic Republic would receive no fees or costs and would not be able to prevent anyone from accessing this waterway.
He said any specified shipping route would be temporary.
Another U.S. official said that if Tehran opens the Strait of Hormuz without any obstacles, the United States will lift the blockade of Iranian ports.
