🔶 Trump administration makes another attempt to counter the law granting citizenship through birth

Despite a setback in the country’s Supreme Court, Donald Trump, president of the United States of America, still wants to limit the possibility of obtaining U.S. citizenship through birth in this country.

The U.S. government, amid a dispute over the right to citizenship based on birth in the United States, has now taken another step and announced new visa restrictions.

In this regard, the U.S. State Department said that issuing visas to people whom the department describes as being involved in “birth tourism” will be limited.

According to the U.S. State Department, those covered by this restriction will be people who have set up some kind of “business related to traveling by pregnant women” so that, in this way, pregnant women can give birth in U.S. territory and the child can receive citizenship in this country.

If a baby is born in the United States, under the country’s constitution the baby is automatically considered a U.S. citizen. This issue has long been opposed by Donald Trump, the president of the United States.
