🔶 Trump: The war with Iran will end soon and gas prices will fall
Donald Trump, the president of the United States, said Friday, 27 Shahrivar (18 September), in remarks to reporters at the White House, that with the near-term end of the war with the Islamic Republic, the price of gasoline would return to the level it was before the start of hostilities. He also added that the United States is “easily” winning the war with Iran and predicted that the conflict will end soon.
This comes as oil and gasoline prices have risen with the longer and more severe escalation of the phases of the war. The American president, however, said that people in his country would rather prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons than lower gas prices, and that higher oil prices are an acceptable price to achieve that goal.
Trump said: “I think that if most people were going to vote between lowering the price of gasoline and allowing Iran to have nuclear weapons, the result would be determined by a very large margin; people do not want Iran to have nuclear weapons.”
