🔻U.S. Energy Secretary: Oil transfer from the Persian Gulf has returned to pre-conflict levels

Chris Wright, the U.S. energy secretary, says that on Tuesday, about 18 million barrels of oil passed through the Persian Gulf.

Speaking to Fox News, he said that the flow of oil exiting the Persian Gulf had reached “unprecedented levels,” adding that the volume of oil transfer on Tuesday had “practically returned to pre-conflict levels.”

Wright said: “Yesterday, about 18 million barrels of oil were out.”

In recent weeks, media outlets had reported disruptions to shipping and oil exports in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz following regional fighting.
