🔶 US: Four people were killed in an attack on a drug-smuggling boat in the Caribbean
The U.S. Army said that, as part of its continued anti–drug trafficking operations in the Caribbean Sea, it targeted and destroyed a boat. According to U.S. Army data, four people were killed in the attack.
The U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) released a video of the operation on X, in which a moving boat is targeted and explodes. According to the command, confirmed information showed that the vessel was operating on one of the well-known drug-smuggling routes in the Caribbean and was actively involved in the transport of drugs.
The U.S. Army has, on Donald Trump’s orders, carried out multiple attacks against boats in the Caribbean Sea and the eastern Pacific Ocean since last fall, which U.S. officials say are used to smuggle drugs into the United States.
As part of an operation titled "Southern Spear," the U.S. Army has, so far, targeted dozens of boats, and, according to a report by the German news agency, in these attacks more than 200 people have been killed.
