The British couple imprisoned in Iran and accused of spying ended their latest multi-month hunger strike. Their family said Craig Foreman carried out a hunger strike for 93 days and Lindsey Foreman for 84 days.

In a statement, the family said: “After nearly three months of protest, Lindsey and Craig decided to end their hunger strike.”

Joe Bent, Lindsey Foreman’s son, said: “The immediate focus remains on Lindsey and Craig’s health and well-being and securing their release after more than 18 months in detention.”

Lindsey and Craig Foreman, both in their early fifties, were arrested in Kerman in Dey 1403, while passing through Iran’s central region during a round-the-world trip by motorbike, by intelligence forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, headed by Abolqasem Salavati, sentenced them in Esfand of last year to 10 years in prison each on charges of spying.
