The Hana Human Rights Organization announced that at least 77 Kurdish citizens in cities and villages in Kurdistan have been detained by security institutions. Based on the data of the organization’s Statistics Center, most of these arrests were carried out without a summons or a judicial order.

According to the Hana report, 11 women and a 16-year-old child are among those detained.

The human rights organization also reported that three of the detainees were sentenced to 74 lashes and that their sentence has been carried out. A death sentence has been issued for one of the detainees.

Hana’s figures show that Kurdistan Province, with 39 detentions, had the highest number of recorded cases. In West Azerbaijan Province, 33 people were detained, and in Ilam Province, five people were detained.
