🔶 Israel rejects a 15-point plan for rebuilding Gaza
According to The Jerusalem Post, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a cabinet meeting on Sunday, August 9 (18 Mordad) that Israel will reject a 15-point plan proposed by the “Peace Delegation” for rebuilding the Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu said: “Israel rejects the 15-point Gaza document that has been proposed by the Peace Delegation. The Israel Defense Forces will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is actually disarmed.”
The Israeli prime minister also once again announced his opposition to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
He said: “Regarding the Gaza Strip, first of all I want to clarify the main point: as long as I am prime minister, there will be no Palestinian state; neither in Gaza nor in Judea and Samaria.” He added: “Neither ‘Fatahstan’ nor ‘Hamasstan’.”
The expression “Judea and Samaria” is a name Israel uses to refer to the West Bank of the Jordan River, and “Fatahstan” and “Hamasstan” refer to the governance of Gaza by the Fatah or Hamas group.
