🔻Israel says it will send another battalion to the village where settlers have detained two Palestinian families

The Israeli army said that after it failed to drive out the Israeli settlers who have detained two Palestinian families in their homes since Sunday, it will send another battalion to the West Bank.

The Israeli army said that by reinforcing its forces, it will intensify efforts to counter the settlers’ attacks and their provocative actions.

Earlier, soldiers clashed with the group of Israeli settlers who had prevented the entry of supplies into the village in the south of Nablus.

A video of the first group of Israeli soldiers entering the village has been released, showing that they are praying with these extremist settlers.

On Wednesday, the Israeli army said these soldiers would face punitive and disciplinary measures.

More security forces that had been deployed to the scene dismantled the tent set up there, but after fighting broke out, these forces left the area and the settlers returned.

Palestinian families in the village say their water and electricity have been cut off and they are gradually facing a shortage of food supplies.

In recent months, attacks by Jewish settlers have increased significantly, and the Israeli government has openly supported the expansion of these settlements.

Under international law, all Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank are illegal.
