Iran’s permanent ambassador to the United Nations on Monday, in an official letter to the organization’s Secretary-General, condemned the new U.S. attack on the Larak island, expressing his protest, and warned that: “The United States of America and all parties that in any way assist, facilitate, support, or participate in the preparation for, commission of, or execution of the United States’ aggressive actions and other unlawful actions committed by the United States, will bear full responsibility for the severe consequences of these unlawful actions, including all damages and losses resulting from them, particularly the widespread harm inflicted on the people of Iran.”

Also on Monday, Iran’s General Staff of the Armed Forces said that after the regional countries had issued warnings that if attacks by the United States against this country were to begin or take shape from their soil, Iran’s armed forces would respond with military operations to the “origin of the attacks.”

In Iran’s letter to the Security Council on Monday, it is stated: “Iran also asks the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Security Council to demand that the United States immediately stop and end its violation of the Charter of the United Nations and its aggressive actions that endanger freedom of navigation and maritime safety and security in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.”
