🔶 IRGC missile and drone attacks on two U.S. bases in Jordan

The Public Relations of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced in a statement that the IRGC Aerospace Force, in response to an American airstrike on Larak Island, targeted the “technical and repair infrastructure” and the locations where “American fighter jets” are based at King Hussein Air Base and Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan with missile and drone attacks.

The IRGC claimed that the attack left “heavy damage.” The statement warned that the U.S. attack would not “undermine the Islamic Republic’s control over the Strait of Hormuz,” and that any attack would be answered with “more forceful responses.”

Meanwhile, Jordan’s state news agency, Petra, citing the country’s army, reported the destruction of eight missiles that had entered Jordan’s airspace in the early hours of Monday, August 31 (September 9). The Jordanian army did not provide further details, including the origin of the launches of these missiles.
