🔻The number of those killed in the U.S. attack on Larak has risen to three

According to Tasnim News Agency, one of the injured people from the U.S. attack on Larak Island in the Persian Gulf last night, “due to the severity of his injuries,” died, and thus the official tally of the dead increased to three.

Previously, the governor of Qeshm County, to which Larak Island belongs, had reported the killing of two people and the wounding of several others.

Earlier, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had said in a statement that the U.S. attack on Larak Island “led to the martyrdom and wounding of a number of our fighters and fellow countrymen.”

The United States said it targeted two Iranian mine-laying systems on Larak Island on Sunday evening.

Iran says it targeted U.S. bases in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates in response.

The U.S. attack last night came after about a month during which attacks in the Persian Gulf had been halted.
