🔶 The Washington Post: U.S. Army warns Hegset about continuing the Iran campaign

The newspaper The Washington Post, citing informed sources, wrote that the U.S. Army has warned Pete Hegseth, the country’s Defense Minister (war), that continuing the Iran campaign could jeopardize the ability of U.S. servicemembers to act in other areas and to protect the interests of the United States.

As the U.S. newspaper wrote, senior military officials told Hegseth that the prolongation of an all-out campaign against Iran is intolerable, puts military readiness under pressure, and risks the army’s ability to respond to other threats around the world.

According to this report, the warning was delivered to the U.S. Defense Secretary in a document on August 14 by the heads of the three branches—land, naval, and air—along with other senior officers.

An individual informed about the Army’s position told The Washington Post that the overall assessment is that this campaign has become “too much and far too long.”
